Rodrigo Navarro

Rodrigo Navarro

I'm Rodrigo, a Chilean skier with 35+ years on snow — I started at age 3, and at 38 I'm still chasing the same thing: the best run of the day. In my youth I competed as a ski racer representing Chile, and that racing foundation — precise technique, efficient lines, discipline — still shapes how I guide and teach today. I've skied across much of the world: my home mountains in Chile, several seasons in Europe (mainly France and Switzerland), and the last 5 years working in Japan as a ski guide and coach.

Bio

I'm Rodrigo, a Chilean skier with 35+ years on snow — I started at age 3, and at 38 I'm still chasing the same thing: the best run of the day. In my youth I competed as a ski racer representing Chile, and that racing foundation — precise technique, efficient lines, discipline — still shapes how I guide and teach today. Guiding
What I enjoy most is this: someone asks me to find the best snow of the day, and I build the whole day around delivering it. I read the terrain before we start — where the wind loaded overnight, where fresh snow settled, which slopes are holding up best given the time and exposure — to get you into real powder, not what the first groups already tracked out.

  • Powder hunter: I know where to look after a fresh snowfall, and where the good snow still holds up days later once everywhere else is tracked out.
  • Built around you, not generic: every guided day is shaped around how you ski and what you want out of it.
  • An eye trained across three continents: skiing the Andes, the Alps, and Hokkaido gives me a real reference point for reading any snow or terrain.

Lessons — refinement
My lessons are for skiers who already handle the mountain well and want to take the next real step: sharpening technique, gaining confidence in variable snow, fixing the small habits holding you back. If you already know how to ski and want to ski better, that's where I come in.
I was a CARV ambassador last season and use it regularly with clients chasing a higher score and a clearer picture of where their technique needs work.
