Hi, I'm Max!

Originally from the UK, I've been skiing since the age of four, growing up on the slopes of the European Alps and have completed six winter seasons working across Canada, the UK, Italy and Japan. 

Having spent the last season in Niseko, I love helping my clients discover the mountain, find their feet and make the most of everyday on the snow.

For me, the best part of teaching is seeing guests achieve something they didn't think was possible-whether that's making their first turns, skiing with more confidence or exploring new terrain. I aim to make every lesson enjoyable, encouraging and tailored to you.

I've worked with skiers of all ages and abilities, from young children, complete beginners, advanced and expert skiers. Everyone learns differently, so I'll adapt each lesson to your goals, experience and learning style.

Whether you want to improve your technique, feel more comfortable on steeper slopes or simply enjoy a relaxed day exploring the mountain, I'll help you progress at a pace that feels right while keeping things fun and rewarding.

Local Knowledge And Mountain Adventures

Having skied and taught in Niseko before, I know how much there is to discover beyond the main runs. I can help you find the best terrain for your ability, from confidence building pistes and scenic cruising runs to favourite tree runs and quieter routes around the mountain.

Every day can be different, and I'll help you make the most of the conditions based on your goals and the  experience you want to have in Niseko.

Skiing & Photography

Outside of teaching I am a passionate photographer with a love for capturing the outdoors and life in the mountains. I will be combining skiing and photography this season for my clients delivering professionally edited digital and postcard size prints available so you'll never forget your time in Niseko.
