Hi, I’m Mari from Japan, fully certified level 4 Ski Instructor with 25 seasons(10years in Niseko) teaching experiences, speaking Japanese and English. My skiing journey has taken me around the globe, from Canada and Austria to Argentina and Australia. Since the 2015/16 season, I’ve been based in Niseko as my home, and since 2022 I’ve been spending my summers working at The Remarkables/Queenstown in New Zealand. With over 20 seasons of ski teaching experience and more than 30 years on the skis, I’m deeply passionate about technical skiing, exploring backcountry ski fields and committed to helping skiers of all levels, from first timer, beginners to advanced.

*Afternoon lessons can start any time after 12:30 and last for three hours if night skiing is available.
*Lessons can start from Niseko(Hirafu or Annupuri), Rusutsu, meet at your hotel/accommodation if it’s locate in Hirafu or Annupuri. No ParkHyatt, Nikko, Ritz Carlton, Hilton.
* Pickup and drop-off at your accommodation is available for up to three people.

Mari did a fantastic job showing us around Niseko, even in very poor visibility. As someone who has been in her position (trying to guide people in the side-country/ backcountry) I understand how difficult and disorienting it can be, and she did an impressive job while also showing tremendous caution which was much appreciated. She also went out of her way to get videos & pictures of us, and gave ideas/recommendations on where to ride for the rest of our trip. Thanks Mari!
