My name is James and I've been teaching in Niseko for 4 seasons, I've done a total of 11 seasons in places like Canada, Australia, Japan and Scotland. I grew up loving the snow and haven't stopped since! Getting to share what I love with people who've never tried it is an amazing opportunity I cherish everyday, it's an awesome way to spend my days and im looking forward to sharing it with you!     First time snowboarding with my friends and was super duper lucky to have James Napier as our instructor! Not only was he extremely friendly, super knowledgeable and funny, he is also a super instructor. He really knew what went well what went wrong and always gave us the perfect advice. He was patient and spot on with everything he taught. With him, we got our basics really well cemented and ready to hit the slopes by ourselves on day 2! For anyone wanting to learn snowboarding please look for him! Awesome and friendly guy! You’ll pick up the basics in no time!

    James was an excellent snowboard instructor during our winter in Niseko. He was patient, calm, and fantastic with our kids (ages 9 and 12), making them feel safe, confident, and excited to be on the mountain. He took great care of them, adjusted his teaching to each child’s ability, and kept the days fun while still helping them improve a lot. We always felt completely comfortable leaving our kids with him and would highly recommend James to any family.
